Christmas traditions.

Introducing Georgian Christmas traditions.
Importance of the project:
Introducing Georgian Christmas traditions to the world.
The aim of the project:
Developing vocabulary and the skills of communication and research. Motivating students to study and respect their own traditions as well as traditions of other countries.
Age group:
10-15
Project period(s):
December –May Expected results/products that can be created: Description of old and new traditions of Christmas, teaching to compare information, finding similarities among the traditions of other countries, establishing virtual communication among the pupils of different countries.
Project resources:
Photo /video camera, computer, internet
Project Description:
Pupils will be divided into groups to get different information: Christmas history, Christmas music and carols , Christmas customs, Christmas meals, present giving, Christmas tree decorations, popular , modern customs of the holiday . (photos, video materials, interviews). Each group will choose a leader, who will describe all work done by the group, and sum up the materials on the blog. The groups will make presentations of their blogs.
